Martin and Wood lead Q-school first stage

Andrew Martin and Tim Wood took charge when they fired matching six-under-par 66s at the Asian Tour Qualifying School First Stage in Victoria on Tuesday.

Martin and Wood were a stroke ahead of Kim Jae-hyun who was tied on 67 with Mark Brown, Shane Baxter and Richard Caracella. Richard Ball struck a 68 while Nathan Main, Josh Carmichael and Chris Gaunt scored 69s.

The Asian Tour Qualifying School First Stage is held in conjunction with the PGA Tour of Australasia.

A total of 46 players are competing in the Qualifying School First Stage held at the Amstel Golf Club and Cranbourne Golf Club where only the top-seven and ties after four rounds will make it through to the Final Stage in Thailand.
