Jones leads Aussies into Asian Tour Q-school final stage - full results

Steven Jones topped the overall scoring at the Asian Tour Qualifying School First Stage in Australia on Friday with a four round total of 67, 71, 68 and 70 (276), three shots clear of second placed Mark Brown and Paul Spargo (279).

Held in conjunction with the PGA Tour of Australasia First Stage of Qualifying School, Jones and Brown successfully graduated into Asia’s final stage in Thailand next month with Ashley Hall, Andrew Martin, Shane Baxter, Mark Purser and Nathan Main as the top seven contestors.

A total of 46 players competed in the Asian Tour Qualifying School which was played at the Amstel Golf Club and Cranbourne Golf Club. This is the first time that players can choose to qualify for both the PGA Tour of Australasia and Asian Tour simultaneously.

The Japan Golf Tour Final Stage of Qualifying later this month will also act as a Stage One qualifying for the Asian Tour.
