Buckle remains tied for lead in US

Asian Tour member Andrew Buckle stayed tied for the lead at the halfway stage of the Nationwide Tour Championship in the United States, keeping his US PGA Tour dreams very much alive.

The Australian, currently ranked 18th on the money list, carded a second round three-under-par 69 to share top spot with four other players. The top-22 finishers on the ranking on Sunday will earn their US PGA Tour cards.

Compatriot Jarrod Lyle, who is ranked 15th on the money list, added a 73 to his opening 72 for tied 32nd place at the halfway stage. He is ranked 15th on the money list which should safely see him earn promotion.

However, Korea's Charlie Wi will have a tough battle ahead at the weekend after carding a 73 which left him in 54th position. Presently ranked 38th on the ranking, Wi needs a high finish on Sunday to give himself a chance to return to the US PGA Tour.
