Choi makes top 10 at Medinah
Korea's
Choi Kyung-ju enjoyed a top-10 finish at the US PGA Championship
at Medinah Country Club on Sunday, closing with a final round one-under-par
71.
The Asian stalwart signed off with five birdies against four bogeys
on the card in the year's final major and his four-day total of
10-under-par 278 was good for tied seventh place.
World number one Tiger Woods claimed his career 12th major with
a five-shot triumph after firing a 68. It was his third successive
victory since returning to the winner's circle at the British Open
in July.
American Shaun Micheel, who plied in his trade in Asia previously
and is a former Singapore Open champion, finished second after a
69 while Australian Adam Scott, who will defend his Barclays Singapore
Open title next month, was third with Spaniard Sergio Garcia and
England's Luke Donald after a 67.
Former Asian regular Daniel Chopra of Sweden ended his week with
a 71 for tied 41st place.
