Sheshan International Golf Club
The
Sheshan International Golf Club was designed by Nelson & Haworth
and is situated near the scenic Sheshan Mountain west of Shanghai.
The club is also close to the Moon Lake Park.
The 18-hole championship course stretches from deep valleys to rolling
hills. With large lakes, accuracy will be crucial for low scores.
Another unique feature of the course is the thicket of trees that
can be found on every hole so players on adjacent fairways will
not be visible. All the lakes around the course are also connected
to give a sense of flow that adds to the scenic landscape.
Golfers will be left in awe at the signature holes 16 and 17 which
is played over a 50 metre quarry. For golfers who lose their footing
at the 17th hole, there are stairs near the tee to get out of trouble.
The players will have an opportunity to get their hands on some
of the top class facilities that include red wine and cigar bar
and restaurant at the clubhouse. There are also 26 covered driving
range bays.
