LAGT girls fly high in Macau

The women professional golfers taking part in the US$80,000 Macau LAGT Championship decided to swap their golf clubs for jump jackets, fun and excitement as they gathered to get a feeling of what sky walking and sky jumping was all about at the Macau Tower here yesterday – courtesy of Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre.

Cracking jokes and teasing each other, these girls, about two-thirds of the field taking part in the Macau LAGT Championship at Macau Golf and Country Club were waiting anxiously for that big experience – jumping from a long “par-3” distance (altitude) of 233 metres. For the record the Macau Tower sky jump is the highest in the world from a tower.

Frightened, exciting, nervous, shivers were some of the adjectives that these golfers described prior to the walk and jump. At the end they their verdict was: “It was all so easy, just drop”.

Later, the women professional entered the Tiger Slot (casino), and then visited a section of the Old City Walls, Natcha Temple, Ruins of St Paul, Holy House of Mercy and Leal Senado Building.
