SK Ho claims victory at Mizuno
Korea's
Hur Suk-ho claimed his seventh career victory on the Japan Golf
Tour on Sunday, winning the Mizuno Open by three strokes.
The Korean stalwart, known better as SK Ho, fired a closing round
of one-under-par 71 and prevailed with his 14-under-par winning
total. Tatsuhiko Ichihara and David Smail shared second place.
Asian Tour stars Jeev Milkha Singh and Thammanoon Srirot were amongst
those who shared sixth place. India's Singh, who is leading the
Asian Tour's UBS Order of Merit, closed with a 69 to finish six
shots behind the winner while Thailand's Thammanoon carded a 70.
The top-four finishers also earned places into the British Open
next month to be played at Royal Liverpool. Wayne Perske and Kiyoshi
Maita shared fourth place.
Hur, who led after the third round, produced a solid display all
day, shooting two birdies against a lone birdie. He has also won
on the Asian Tour previously, lifting the Shinhan Donghae Open in
Korea several years ago.
