Randhawa so close to world top 100

Randhawa's first victory in nearly two years has lifted him to 102nd
place on the latest Official World Golf Ranking.
The Indian star prevailed in a play-off over compatriots S.S.P.
Chowrasia and Vijay Kumar at the Hero Honda Indian Open which spilled
over to a Monday finish.
Randhawa is amongst a growing number of Asian Tour stalwarts who
are featuring in the top-200 of the ranking.
England's Simon Dyson, the Order of Merit winner in Asia in 2000,
is ranked 78th, thanks mainly to two victories this season. He also
finished fourth in India. Korea's Hur Suk-ho is two rungs below,
followed by compatriot Yang Yong-eun who is ranked 82nd.
Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee, a two-time Asian number one, presently
sits in 106th position, followed by Australian Andrew Buckle in
122nd place. India's Jeev Milkha Singh, currently leading the Asian
Tour's UBS Order of Merit, is placed at 147th in the latest ranking.
Other Asian Tour members in the top-200 include China's Liang Wen-chong
(155th), Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand (158th), Thailand's Thaworn
Wiratchant (174th), American Edward Loar (175th), Australian Jarrod
Lyle (182nd), Wang Ter-chang of Chinese Taipei (191st) and Shiv
Kapur of India (198th).
Korea's Choi Kyung-ju, who plays on the US PGA Tour, is ranked 55th
in the world.
