Singh in contention again at Casio World Open

It seems like there is no stopping Jeev Milkha Singh. The Indian star is in contention at the Casio World Open after carding a second round of three under par 69 to lie one stroke off the pace at the halfway stage on Friday.

Singh, who secured the Asian Tour's UBS Order of Merit title last week, was the joint first round leader after shooting a 66 and today, he carded five birdies against two bogeys.

Japan's Tetsuya Haraguchi leads the way on 10-under-par 134.

Chinese Taipei's Lin Keng-chi remained in contention after adding a 68 to his opening 70 for tied sixth place. Thailand's Thammanoon Srirot is tied for 17th place, six shots off the lead entering the weekend rounds.

In Australia, Asian Tour member Tony Carolan was tied fourth at the halfway stage of the Mastercard Masters after rounds of 68 and 69. His two day total of seven-under-par was four shots behind surprise leader, Aaron Pike, who is an Australian amateur.

Gary Simpson improved by 10 shots from his opening round 75 as he moved up to tied 15th place on four-under while Jarrod Lyle, who recently secured his US PGA Tour card, is a shot back at three under after a second round 69.
