Singh tied for lead after three rounds in Casio

India's Jeev Milkha Singh put himself in prime position for a third victory of the year when he took the joint third round lead at the Casio World Open on Saturday.

Singh, who last week wrapped up his maiden Asian Tour's UBS Order of Merit title, carded a third round three-under-par 69 to share the lead with Japan's Tetsuya Haraguchi. Singh shot three birdies on the card, and did not drop a single shot.

The leading duo are two shots clear of the field with their 12-under-par 204 total. Singh has already won the Volvo China Open and Volvo Masters in Spain this season and is chasing a maiden victory on the Japan Golf Tour.

Chinese Taipei's Lin Keng-chi, Asia's number one in 1995, is tied sixth on nine-under-par.

In Australia, Asian Tour member Tony Carolan carded an even par 72 in the third round to stay on the fringe of contention at the Mastercard Masters at Huntingdale. Carolan is tied eight with a 209 total, six shots behind leader Justin Rose.

Jarrod Lyle carded a second straight 69 for tied 16th position on 210 while Gary Simpson was a further stroke back after a 71.
