Q-school final stage pits 189 hopefuls for 40 spots
Malaysia’s Danny Chia will be among the 189 players vying for full playing rights in the 2008 Asian Tour season when they compete at the Qualifying School Final Stage which tees off on Wednesday.
Chia, 35, will be vying to finish in the top-40 and ties at the four day qualifiers held over two venues in Sabah, the Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club and the Sabah Golf Club.
With one win on the Asian Tour, Chia will be among the leading players tipped to make it through the four day challenge together with compatriot Ben Leong who played in his maiden season this year.

Jerome Delariate, who finished tied 11th at the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open and Felix Casas will lead the Filipino charge while Harmeet Kahloon, who produced two top-10s this season, and Arjun Singh are part of the Indian stalwarts this week.
Thailand’s Panuwat Muenlek will return to Qualifying School in high spirits after a fruitful season this year. He recorded three top-10s in his rookie 2007 season and ended the year in 73rd place on the UBS Order of Merit.
Among the other top players lined up this week are Korea’s Hur In-hoi and Lee Sung-ho, American Edward Loar and 2001 British Amateur Champion Michael Hoey of England.
