100Plus drinks to Asian Tour Q-school

100PLUS, Malaysia’s number one isotonic drink, has signed up to become the Official Drink of the 2008 Asian Tour Qualifying School in Sabah, Malaysia.

Asian Tour Executive Chairman Kyi Hla Han welcomed the renowned brand on board for the Qualifying School, which is expected to attract over 450 international players battling for 40 Tour cards for the 2008 season.

“We are delighted that 100PLUS is once again supporting the Asian Tour Qualifying School, which is a very important event on our calendar. Players from around the world will chase for 40 Tour cards and the pressure is enormous," said Han.

100PLUS Assistant Brand Manager Ms Ooi Jin Yen said the company was excited to be a part of the 2008 Asian Tour Qualifying School, which is the gateway to a lucrative season planned for next year.

“To be the Official Drink for this event is an extension of our support for the leading golf events in the region. We have been involved with golf from the junior level all the way to the professional ranks for several years now. We believe our partnership with the Asian Tour will benefit both parties,” said Ooi.

“We will provide 100PLUS for all the players and officials at all venues for the First Stage of Qualifying School and also the Final Stage next week. As 100PLUS has been scientifically formulated for high performance athletes, the drink is the ideal beverage to help the golfers achieve their fullest potential.”

A total of 71 players competed in Week One, Stage One in early November while over 250 players will tee it up for Week Two, Stage One at Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club and Borneo Golf and Country Club this week.

Approximately 40 players will then progress into the all-important Final Stage to be played from December 12-15 at the Sutera Harbour and Sabah Golf Club.

Sabah Tourism and Malaysian Tourism are both supporting the 2008 Asian Tour Qualifying School.
