Prayad finishes tied eighth in Japan
Thailands
Prayad Marksaeng delivered his best finish on the Japan Golf Tour
this season when he shot a three-under-par 69 to claim joint eighth
place at the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup on Sunday.
Prayad produced a 13-under-par 280 total and dropped out of the
pace behind champion Ryu Ishikawa who shot a 66 for a winning total
of 276.
Englands Simon Dyson improved with a 69 on Sunday as he finished
in tied seventh place at the Irish Open. He scored a 290 total and
was seven strokes behind winner and local hero Padraig Harrington
who defeated Bradley Dredge of Wales in the play-off. Harrington
had previously shot his second straight 71 and was tied with Dredge
on 283 after four rounds.
Indias Jyoti Randhawa slipped to a 75 for a 294 total and
ended his campaign in joint 21st position alongside Koreas
Yang Yong-eun, the 2006 HSBC Champions winner, as he shot a 74.
Koreas Kevin Na carded a 71 and claimed tied 39th place at
the US PGA Tour's AT&T Classic. Zach Johnson took the title
after having defeated Ryuji Imada in the play-off. Both players
were previously tied on 273 at the top of the leaderboard.
On the Champions Tour Regions Classic, Thai veteran Boonchu Ruangkit
claimed tied 15th position after his best round of 69 on the final
day. His 209 total was five strokes behind champion Brad Bryant
who carded a 65.
