Wi still in the hunt at Buick halfway
Korea's Charlie Wi remained in contention at the halfway stage
of the Buick Invitational on Friday after firing a second round
72.
Wi, who had opened with a 63 on Thursday, shot three birdies on
the card but suffered a bogey and a double bogey for a two-day total
of nine-under-par 135. He is four shots behind leader Brandt Snedeker
in a share of third place.
Australian Andrew Buckle, fourth on the Asian Tour's UBS Order of
Merit last season and making his debut on the US PGA Tour this year,
fired a 71 for tied eighth place on seven-under-par total.
Another Australian, Jarrod Lyle also made a move up the leaderboard
with a 68 which put him in joint 12th place alongside Tiger Woods,
who is chasing his seventh straight PGA Tour title.
Amongst those who missed the halfway cut were Kevin Na and Daniel
Chopra, both former regulars in Asia.
