Chopra finishes tied 8th at Honda
Swedens
Daniel Chopra struck a one-over-par 71 and ended his campaign in
tied eighth place at the Honda Classic on Sunday.
Chopra, a former Asian Tour regular, was in contention going into
the fourth round but three birdies against four birdies pushed him
down five spots at the end of the final day as he scored a total
of three-under-par 277.
After a solid start to the tournament, Koreas Charlie Wi slipped
with a 73 in the final round as he claimed joint 13th position after
a 280 total. Wi was steady on the front nine firing two birdies
but struggled on the way home with three bogeys against a double
bogey.
Australias Jarrod Lyle finished in tied 39th place when he
shot his best round of 69 for a 284 total.
Camilo Villegas, Jose Coceres, Mark Wilson and Boo Weekley were
all tied on 275 at the top but the playoff was suspended due to
darkness and will commence on Monday morning at the Palm Beach Gardens
in Florida.
