Kevin Na ties fourth at Verizon Heritage
Korea's Kevin Na enjoyed a tied fourth finish at the Verizon Heritage
which concluded on Monday for his first top-10 on the US PGA Tour
this season.
The 23-year-old, rookie of the year on the Asian Tour in 2002, was
in contention in the weather-delayed final round before slipping
up with a frustrating finish where he signed for a 73, four shots
behind winner Boo Weekly.
Weekly chipped in for pars on the last two holes at Harbour Town
Golf Links to secure a one-shot win over Ernie Els, who will headline
this week's BMW Asian Open in Shanghai.
Na, the Volvo Masters of Asia winner in 2002, was two shots off
the pace on the back nine before dropping a double bogey on the
par three 14th and suffered two more bogeys on 16 and 17. He recovered
in time with a birdie on 18.
American Dean Wilson, who cut his professional teeth on the Asian
Tour in the 1990s, finished on 278.
