Choi improves with 70 at Players
Choi Kyung-ju of Korea improved in the third round at The Players
Championship after firing a two-under-par 70 on Saturday.
Choi, a former Asian Tour regular, carded four birdies against two
bogeys for a 215 total in joint 24th place at Sawgrass.
Swedens Daniel Chopra stumbled to a 76 and was in tied 64th
position alongside Tiger Woods who shot his second straight 73.
American Sean OHair scored a 66 and took a one stroke lead
over Phil Mickelson after a 207 total.
On the European Tour, Scott Strange of Australia carded a 69 in
tied 40th spot at the Valle Romano Open de Andalucia. A stroke behind
Strange was compatriot Terry Pilkadaris who shot his third straight
71 for a 213 total in joint 48th position.
Englands Lee Westwood took the sole lead after a 65.
In Japan, Yeh Wei-tze was in tied sixth place after a steady 70
in the third round at the Japan PGA Championship. Yeh was six strokes
behind leader Toshimitsu Izawa who was even-par for the day for
a 210 total.
Hur Suk-ho endured a slow 74 in tied 35th place while three spots
below was Thailands Thammanoon Srirot who shot a 77.
