Prayad on track for maiden win in Japan
Thailand's
Prayad Marksaeng put himself in position to lift a maiden title
on the Japan Golf Tour when he grabbed the second round lead in
the weather disrupted Munsingwear Open KBS Cup on Saturday.
The Asian Tour star shot a six-under-par 66 with six birdies for
a 10-under-par total to lead by two shots from Kiyoshi Miyazato,
the former Okinawa Open champion.
Chinese Taipei's Lin Keng-chi ended the day in tied 42nd place with
Frankie Minoza of the Philippines on 143.
In the Irish Open, India's Jyoti Randhawa, Asia's number one in
2002, continued his climb up the leaderboard with a third round
73 for a 219 total, good for a share of 12th place. He is seven
shots behind local hero Padraig Harrington.
Korea's Yang Yong-eun, last year's winner of the HSBC Champions
in Shanghai, was a further shot back after a 71 and was tied with
England's Simon Dyson of England, who carded a 75.
In the US, Korea's Kevin Na was tied 37th on 213 after a third round
70. Japan's Ryuji Imada and Troy Matteson of the United States share
the lead on 203.
