Sukree Seeks Success On ADT
“I’ve won three events this year and those were gifts from God. I worked very hard in my game and I’ve improved on my course management this year. The victories have really given me the confidence and I hope to continue my form this week,” said Sukree. Sukree started playing on the Asian Tour in 2010 through a country exemption category and enjoyed his best finish in last year’s Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters where he placed tied fifth. He currently lies in 32nd place on the ADT Order of Merit and knows a victory next week will boost his chances of earning a 2013 Asian Tour card should he finish in the top three of the ADT money list at the end of the season. “Playing on the ADT has given me good experience because you play with an international field. It is definitely my goal of earning an Asian Tour card next year through the ADT,” said Sukree. The 32-year-old believes Malaysians have an advantage of finishing high on the ADT Order of Merit as Malaysia hosts seven out of 12 ADT events this season. “There’s definitely a home advantage for us but we can’t take it for granted. It is a strong field and we still have to work hard to win,” he added. Currently ADT Order of Merit leader Peter Richardson of England and second placed Luke Bleumink of Australia will headline the PGM Terengganu Masters alongside local stars R. Nachimuthu and Shaaban Hussin. The ADT will host a record of 12 events this year as the Tour travels to Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Chinese Taipei.
