Never will so much professional golf have been played in Asia as in 2008, nor for so much money. With an Asian Tour schedule expected to top 30 events and perhaps $30m, a ten stop $1m China Tour, hopes of a ten stop ASEAN Tour and a growing ladies' scene, 2008 will be a banner year for Asian golf.
Million dollar man
2007 saw Liang Wen-chong win the Asian Tour Order of Merit, take a European Tour title, sweep the UBS awards and officially become the first Chinese golf millionaire.
