18 Asian Tour members in world top 200

A total of 18 Asian Tour members are featuring in top 200 of the latest Official World Golf Ranking which was released on Monday.

India’s S.S.P Chowrasia, who was victorious at the Emaar-MGF Indian Masters on Sunday, was the latest member to break into the top 200 when he rose from 388th place to 161st.

Korea’s Choi Kyung-ju, the first Asian Tour graduate to make waves on the US PGA Tour, is the highest ranked Asian in the world at ninth place.

England’s Simon Dyson is ranked 68th in the world, followed by Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand in 82nd position. India’s Jyoti Randhawa is four rungs below the Thai star while compatriot Jeev Milkha Singh is 93rd.

Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee, a two-time Asian Tour number one, and last year’s Order of Merit champion Liang Wen-chong of China are ranked 97th and 100th respectively.

The other members in the top 200 are:
- Yang Yong-eun of Korea (107th)
- South African James Kingston (112th)
- Scotsman Simon Yates (157th)
- Lu Wen-teh of Chinese Taipei (160th)
- Thailand’s Chapchai Nirat (162nd)
- Prom Meesawat of Thailand (166th)
- Filipino Frankie Minoza (178th)
- Korea’s Charlie Wi (184th)
- Lin Wen-tang of Chinese Taipei (193rd)
- Filipino Juvic Pagunsan (195th)
- Anton Haig of South Africa (198th).
