Haig in Qatar top five after third round
Asian Tour member Anton Haig shot a three-under-par 69 in the third round of the Commercialbank Qatar Masters to lie three off the lead on Saturday.
The big South African, who jointly led the event after the opening round, trails leader Johan Edfors in tied fifth place as he searches for a third career victory.
Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee and Jyoti Randhawa of India were in tied 32nd place after a 70 and 72 respectively while Shiv Kapur of India ended the day in joint 51st position.
Indian star Jeev Milkha Singh, who earlier this week received a special invitation to the Masters, shot a 73 for equal 66th place.
In the Buick Invitational, Korea’s Jin Park shot a 72 for tied 42nd place in the US PGA Tour event after the third round. World number one Tiger Woods leads the event by eight shots after a third round 66.
