Jarrod Lyle bags US Open spot
Australia’s Jarrod Lyle booked his place for the US Open when he shot a 68 in the closing round at the sectional qualifiers in United States on Monday.
The former Asian Tour youngster posted a 69 on the first day and recorded a total of 137 at Columbus.
American Edward Loar recorded a 72 and 70 and missed the mark after a 142 total at the qualifiers in Columbus, Ohio. Playing on a similar venue, Korea’s Charlie Wi was also unable to take advantage of his low 68 in the first round as he shot a 75 on day two and failed to make the cut at Cordova.
