18 Asian Tour regulars in world top 200
A total of 18 Asian Tour members are featuring in the top-200 of the latest Official World Golf Ranking.
New Zealand’s Mark Brown, the current Asian Tour Order of Merit leader, is the highest ranked member at 58th in the world followed by Jeev Milkha Singh, the region’s number one in 2006, in 82nd position.
Compatriot Jyoti Randhawa is three rungs below in 85th position followed by England’s Simon Dyson in 88th place on the list.
Lin Wen-tang of Chinese Taipei, winner of the Asian Tour International in March, is enjoying his first appearance in the top-100 thanks to his good run of form this season.
The other Asian Tour members ranked in the top-200 are James Kingston (101st), Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand (104th), China’s Liang Wen-chong (116th), Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee (132nd), Australian Scott Strange (155th), Korea’s Charlie Wi (172nd), Chinese Taipei’s Lu Wen-teh (177th), S.S.P. Chowrasia of India (179th), Simon Yates of Scotland (182nd), Thailand’s Prom Meesawat (190th), Chapchai Nirat of Thailand (192nd), India’s Arjun Atwal (198th) and Yang Yong-eun of Korea (199th).
Korean star Choi Kyung-ju, who plays on the US PGA Tour, is the highest ranked Asian at world number eight while Asian Tour honorary member Vijay Singh of Fiji is ranked ninth.
