About the Course
Royal
Orchid International Golf Club was designed by golf icon Nick Faldo.
It was the first full scale international standard golf development
project in Southern China. The Club is around 30 minutes from Guangzhou
city and an estimated 100 minutes from Hong Kong.
The Royal Orchid International Golf Club has played host to various
top class tournaments such as the World Golf Tournament and the
Volvo China Tour. It is featured for the first time on the Asian
Tour as the platform for the 2007 Midea China Classic.
Among the highlight of the course is the 565 yards par five ninth
hole that offers a wide fairway. The fairway slopes to the left
and a solid approach shot could provide long hitters an opportunity
to reach the green in two.
