About the Course
The Thai Country Club, officially opened in December, 1996, was designed by Denis Griffiths, who was the President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. It is reputed to offer some of the best facilities in Asia with an award-winning clubhouse and services at its highest level.
Players will be pampered with top class facilities that include restaurants, sauna, spa and lockers equipped with showers that boasts seven different nozzles. The Thai Country Club is located approximately 70 minutes away on the Eastern side of Bangkok along the BangnaTrad highway.
The course is perpetually in immaculate condition and is managed by the world renowned Peninsula Group. The Thai Country Club has hosted the Volvo Masters of Asia since 2005, won by Shiv Kapur of India two years ago and Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand last season.
Among the most talked about hole is the par three sixth hole. The green is tightly guarded by the water hazard on the right and bunkers which will challenge even the steadiest of golfers. The par five 14th hole, measuring 600 yards, will also test the best golfers at this week's Volvo Masters of Asia.
