Kim takes top 15 finish in Japan
Korea's Kim Kyung-tae carded a closing even-par 72 for a final six-under par 282 to end his ANA Open campaign in Japan in joint-14th place on Sunday.
New Zealand’s Eddie Lee and Thailand’s Chawalit Plaphol who both went into the final round in 44th place returned with matching 68s to finish on 284 for a share of 28th place
Filipino Frankie Minoza, whose last victory on the Asian Tour was at last year’s Philippine Open, carded a 72 and took a share of 32nd place, 13 shots behind eventual winner Azuma Yano of Japan.
In the US, 2008 Maybank Malaysian Open champion, Arjun Atwal of India ended his Nationwide Tour event in joint-14th place, together with Australia’s Jarrod Lyle.
The duo both returned with a final 70 for a 277 total at the Oregon Classic, which was won by Matt Bettencourt of the United States.
