Yang climbs into contention at AT&T
Korea’s Yang Yong-eun blasted his best round of four-under-par 68 and rose to joint fifth position at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on Saturday.
Yang enjoyed a blemish free round firing four birdies for a six-under-par 210 total to stay three strokes behind joint leaders Vijay Singh of Fiji and American Dudly Hart in the third round on the US PGA Tour event.
Yang had previously enjoyed the highlight of his career when he won the 2006 HSBC Champions by defeating Tiger Woods.
Kevin Na of Korea shot a 73 in a tie for 26th position alongside Australia’s Andrew Buckle who posted a 71. Compatriot Charlie Wi improved with a 70 in tied 45th spot.
