Yang claims first US Tour top ten
Korea’s Yang Yong-eun enjoyed his first top-10 outing on the US PGA Tour when he finished tied ninth on at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday.
The Asian stalwart carded rounds of 69, 73, 68 and 73 for a 283 total, five shots behind winner Steve Lowery. The American ended a seven-year drought by beating Vijay Singh of Fiji in a play-off.
Former Asian Tour regulars Daisuke Maruyama and Andrew Buckle of Australia settled for tied 14th and equal 24th positions respectively in the event.
Another Korean, Jin Park carded a closing 71 for a share of 34th position on 286 while compatriot Kevin Na was further back in 43rd place.
