well wok council what have you done to this lovely 9hole course?or for sake of h/and safety or is there another agenda?closeing it down!!!!! you have really dropped a *** and lost most of the people who would play there.you started off by doing away with our clubhouse and then making us pay for our parking when we play bad enough we start at the old seventh hole, but we put up with it because the course was getting looked after and the greens great (well done greenenkeeper) but now its a micky mouse course!!!!
have been playing there since the seventies and have in all my time not seen golfers hitting any members of the public.

This is a 9 hole alongside a boating lake. It's squeezed into the parkland and pleasantly surprising.
All but two of the holes are Par 4's with a 5 and a final par 3 to mix it up. The majority of the holes are forgiving with a very up and down nature to the course. Obstacles are the odd tree and a few lakes/ponds, but you'd have to shank fairly badly to hit them. Greens are of average quality but I would add the layout isn't clear, especially toward the 6th green.
The approach to the 6th is a nice drop to a green banked by a river, probably my favourite shot on the course.
The clubhouse has the usual bar/big TV combo and looks pleasant enough and the staff are friendly and helpful.
All in all, for the cost of a round, this is a gem.
