Played here
a number of times thanks to my father in law's 5 day membership. For the 25 handicap
hacker this course can be a real test especially when the wind blows as it can
do here. I am always suprised at how
quickly the round goes which must be a sign of a good course. There are many long
Par4's which I am doing well to get on in 3. The 13th sticks out as a difficult
par 3 with a nightmare drop in front. Downpoints: no reductions for temporary greens
which we werent notified about plus the slightly scruffy state the course can
get in over the winter months. As with many private clubs you also can get a slightly
chilly welcome if you aren't a member. Paul Samber
Maidenhead
is not a hilly course. The greens are a fairly big size pretty quick. The bunkers
are okay but not bad and the members are very nice people so come and have a look
at the course. it is a cheap golf course to join for member juniors: £210
but if you have a locker its an extra £10. Michael Johnson November
