Reviews

Originally part of the exclusive Stoke Poges Golf Course Farnham Park is an affordable alternative to its neighbour. This is a relatively forgiving course with wide fairways and short rough but don't get to comfortable - there are a few tester holes thrown in to test you (10th, 11th and 16).
Well worth the fee of approx £18.

Have been playing here for over 5 years on a Sunday and for its type would definitely recommend it. At £16 on a weekend it still represents good VFM.What makes this course is the excellent state of the greens which considering the amount of traffic this place sees is amazing.Top half of the course has seen its problems in recent years forcing the course to be 14 holes for a large chunk of the winter but now sorted the quality has not been compromised.Downpoints: the tee areas are not great on a number of holes causing my partners much consternation. Not long now to the dreaded mats! Even so all things considered an excellent venue for a Sunday morning..

An excellent public links course and very good value for money. The front nine holes are a bit like trick golf with many holes not requiring woods to be used and local knowledge of bumps and humps needed. The back nine holes are truely championship quality with 10,11,13 and 16 as good as any holes anywhere in the country. An additional bonus is the superb clubhouse facilities and hospitality. Overall the place is a credit to all who work there - both on and off the course. An excellent public links course and very good value for money. I agree that this course is great value for money at
£19.50. It's a pretty, tree-lined course in excellent condition. The trees are not a hazard though as the fairways are quite wide. This was the first time I've played this course and I'll definaitely go back. But, be warned: We teed off at 1pm on a Sunday and on each hole on vitually the whole
round there was at least 2-3 groups waiting at the next tee. Very frustrating. I haven't seen anything quite like this in a number of years. I got so bad that my mate and I teamed up with the two ladies playing behind us - the idea being that a foursome would take longer to get to the next tee and (hopefully) have a shorter wait. Despite this we still kept pace with the groups ahead of us. One of the ladies was a club member and she said that the 7-minute gap between tee times was the main reason for this situation. I suppose they're trying to make as much money as possible without caring too much of the enjoyment of the golfers playing there. A good course but the queues are a bummer. You have been warned!
