This parkland course provides a good test for novice golfers
and experts alike. The first 3 holes are fairly long for the
par, and run parallel to each other, quite often there will
be golfers from the next hole on your fairway rescuing wayward
shots! Holes of particular note are the par 4 6th with its
sloping green, a real problem to get right, and the 9th par
3, which has a large pond just before the green. A very well
kept course, at a reasonable price: £6 for 9 holes and
£10 for 18. Greens are good, but watch for the 4th par
3, the tree above is often in the firing line of hole 5, and
is often marred by sticks and leaves knocked down by golf
balls. Worth a visit, even more so if the local big courses
are full on the day you want to play.
