The course was established in 1899 and it is challenging and tricky with small, fast greens that have deceptive borrows. Allied to the natural contours of the hillside, players will enjoy the variety of shot making required.
Course Reviews
A wonderful course, probably one of the best I've ever played. It is pricey in my opinion (£15 for 9 holes, £25 for 18), but the views from the 1st tee almost make up for it! We felt very welcome when we turned up, but beware - they don't accept cards for payment and the closest cash point was in Bakewell (down at the bottom of the hill). The variations and undulations were made good use of and the greens were in excellent condition. I would certainly go again! Adam Carter November 19, 2007
