Description |
Rated
one of the county's finest tests of golf. Many natural water hazards in rolling
countryside layout. A 'must visit' course. |

Having
been a member at Horsley for over 2 years, I have seen many
changes along the way. The course went from a building site,
municipal quality course with temporary greens, fairways and
even holes to what I consider the most challenging and well
kept course in Derbyshire. The greens are now immaculate and
a pleasure to putt on. The course seems to have adapted a
tropical feel, with 11 of the 18 holes having water hazards.
A superb bar and restaurant area soon to be extended (6/8/00).
Round off a hard day's golf with views over the 9th and 18th
USGA standard greens. I recommend everyone to play this challenging
course, and take advantage of the buggy costing 10 pounds
for a day.

I found
this course a new experience in local golf. A good sporting
course quite different from other new courses. We were made
very welcome and the food is second to none. All in all it
is very good value for money
