Comment The course has recently been expanded to a full 18 holes, with fantastic views from Dartmoor to Sidmouth and Blackdown hills. The new 10th hole is a Par 4, 449 Yard, 7 terraced fairway like you have never seen before, anywhere. Most challenging.

I have never experienced anything like the appalling treatment we received from the management at this course. We paid to play 9 holes, but after finishing just 2 holes realised, that due to the preceding bad weather the course was pretty much unplayable. There was standing water, and my ball had plugged so deep I lost 3 balls buried in the middle of the fairway. One ball disappeared in the ground just in front of my colleague and we still couldn't unearth it! So we walked off the second green, and a little unsure of our rights asked if we could have our money back and come again to play another day. This request did not seem unreasonable. However, the owner completely lost their temper were arguing and insulting us in the shop! After questioning our honesty and golfing experience returned our money under duress and told us to leave the course and never come back! We were totally shocked by this unwarranted tirade. Unfortunately it did not end there. As we were putting our clubs into the car the owner reappeared shouting the odds at us across the car park.... I mean, totally and unreservedly out of order.
This is a real shame. The course is a simple pay and play - open to all. You can play in jeans and t-shirt if you wanted! It will be a long time before I ever play here again - and can't say I will miss it. There are superior courses nearby.
