Tiverton is a well established 18
hole course approaching its century anniversary. The course
is generally in very good condition, with few being able to
match its fairway standard within the south-west. Furthermore
the trees are very well established, punishing poor driving,
essential on a parkland course.
The clubhouse has been rebuilt in the last 10 years, and
as such is of the highest quality, with a well stocked bar
and good food. Whilst the pro-shop is of a very good size,
stocking all major brands.
The only weaknesses are the perhaps overly stuffy atmosphere
and the lack of halfway houses, whilst 2 or 3 holes on the
back 9 are uninspiring.
However, all in all an excellent club, particularly in an
area sparse with quality golf. Tom Seamer October 7, 2005
