Having been promised an excellent course with wonderous views, first impressions were not good as you drove into a very tatty car park, with cars seemingly parked willy nilly everywhere. The door to the clubhouse was well and truly locked so we had to go to the pro-shop for code to get say the pro was unhelpful was an understatement, and we went over to the changing rooms thinking that he must have had a poor day. After a wait on the first tee as members kept on coming off the 18th and seemingly assumed that they could go straight onto the 1st and let visitors like me hang around to let them through. And when we did get onto the course, we were then presented with a virtual building site wher it seems piles of rubble are being dumped to the sides of the 2nd and 3rd, I presume for "mounding", and then more building works at the 11th. On reaching the 11th, and thence back over onto the clubhouse side, the views were good and these last 7 holes were attractive, although very tough walks at times. All in all the course was ok, but we thought very overpriced for the area, but what really dissapointed was the whole general attitude of all around, - the surly pro, the table full of members who seemed to give the impression of "more damned visitors on our course", ....cannot give any idea of the food as we looked at the prices and decided not to stay...........all in all, very disappointing and we left feeling tha someone needs to get in there and shake the members and staff into the 21st century.

I am about to take over the position of Managing Secretary in December 2005 and having only played this course once I can recommend it to any one that enjoys a challenging course, fantastic views and a very warm welcome.
Come and see us sometime.
