very scenic mature parkland course where fast undulating greens, together with water hazards make for a challenging
but very enjoyable round of golf.
From
A1 take A694 to Rowlands Gill. At Rowlands Gill take the B6315 (to Greenside and
Ryton). After approximately three miles turn left at the ‘Bute Arms’
public house in High Spen. Continue towards Chopwell and you will pass the course
on your left.

I've read about a lot of courses
that describe themselves as hidden gems, however this really is one. Breathtaking
scenery and a brute of a course in good nick. If you think you've made it as a
category one golfer - think again. Whatever your handicap is add 3 when you play
this one! Well stocked pro shop and very friendly staff - highly recommended. Name
