About Abridge

Abridge has been selected as an Open Championship Qualifying Course from 2009.

Reviews Abridge is a well manicured course, tree lined fairways which are reasonably generous, but the penalty for missing the is extremely heavy rough. When playing to ten of the greens the bottom of the pin is not visible and so some shots do not play to their yardage. The greens are probably the finest in Essex, extremely quick and some with large breaks. Off the back tees, Abridge is a challenging course for players of all abilities.
