Course Reviews
A
good test for all levels of golfer, many water hazards on
the 'Abbotts' course . The course is extremely well kept with
praise especially going to the green staff for the excellent
greens. This can be a hard test with many options on each
tee, it is not all about 'grip it and rip it' but many times
an iron or fairway wood is the more sensible option. However
should you be brave enough to use your driver and are accurate
a very low score can be achieved. N/K
As
a new member a very challenging 18 holes of golf in Essex.
Plenty of water and bunkers on most holes. Well stocked pro
shop with standard facilities in club house. D. Beadle
The Stapplefords Abotts course I think is the best out of
the
three courses with its long challenging par threes and a fair
share of dog legs really make it a difficult course. And with
great practice facilities, short par three course and an old
barn style clubhouse. This is a really great course and great
if you want a challenge. James March 12, 2005
Cleverly laid out short course, greens in great condition
good use of water, parkland course, the clubhouse is an old
portable where a cup of self made tea was a pound, good enough
for high handicappers but difficult to judge how you played
due to the length of the course. D Williams September 3, 2006
