The course is situated on high ground sloping down to the small River Ingrebourne that meanders its way through the lower part of the course on its way to join the Thames. In some areas of the course, it is hard to imagine that you are still in suburban London and yet you can stand on the 17th green and see Canary Wharf reaching for the sky.
