Location
The course lies right in the heart of the famous Margaux vineyards, close to the most prestigious Châteaux of the Médoc.
• 35 minutes from Bordeaux town centre, 40 from the "Gare Saint Jean" Bordeaux TGV station:
Follow signs for "Rocade" from the station or the town centre, and then take exit n° 7 or 8.
• 40 minutes from Bordeaux - Mérignac airport:
Take the "Rocade" and follow signs for Paris. Once on the "Rocade", take exit n°7 or 8 and follow signs for "Le Verdon" then for "Blanquefort", "Macau" - "Labarde" and "Pauillac" on the "D2". Go through the villages of Macau, Labarde and Cantenac to reach Margaux. Then go through the village of Margaux, still following the "D2" and turn right when you see the large sign for the "Relais de Margaux" drive for 2.5km through vines and pastures to the Relais de Margaux.

The fairways are lined with elms and ash trees, with some following the banks of the Gironde estuary and others surrounded by lakes and water hazards.

Reviews
Avoid this course unless you want to be eaten alive by mosquitoes. The course is very flat but made tricky by water hazards and trees. However all this is academic because you will never be able to concentrate on the golf unless you are completely smothered in anti mossie cream. Not a great track!
