An interesting experience ! Well, we discovered an insight into the French attitude towards golf here! This is an 18 hole course, but with an option of returning to the clubhouse after the front 9 by playing to a different green at the clubhouse, or staying on the plateau for the more normal 9th green. There is also a different 10th green for those resuming their round from a break at the clubhouse for lunch! Complicated to understand at first, but so very understandable when you consider the French desire for lunch after the front 9 and before they resume their round! That aside this was a decent course with some very nice holes. The time of year (October) meant the greens were past their best, but they were true and consistent. The lady owner of the course and hotel thereupon was most welcoming, speaking excellent English, acquired on work experience in Birmingham, giving her English an interesting accent. The hotel looks to be an ideal place to stay if you fancied a golfing trip in this area, with a sprinkling of decent courses.
