The first shock was the price of a round, ok, it was Sunday, but 65 Euros for this region was high. In hindsight I should have demanded a refund and left the course when my 2 euros for 28 range balls deposited a mixture of ancient range balls and mud in equal measure into my basket. The range itself is a field with a few randomly placed at distances unrelated to the number on them.. The range mats were in poor repair and the range itself was, to be fair, in even worse repair than the mats. Away from the range the chipping green and putting greens were in very good shape.
Sadly the same could not be said for the course as far too many fairways had huge areas that were quagmires and so totally unplayable. You had no need of the local rule for pick and place because every ball plugged wherever it landed, this of course made the longer holes too long, which can take a bit of the fun out of the game.
This maybe a good course when it is dry, but I have my doubts, things like filthy range balls and ripped up fairways without GUR markings tend to be symptoms of underlying problems.
I would not recommend this course to anyone especially since there are so many cheaper and considerably maintained courses within close proximity to this one.
Go to one of them.
