Course Designer
Dreamt by industrialist Baron Marcel Bich (of the Bic empire) and his Japanese trading partner, Mr Yoshiaki Sakurai, Les Bordes was designed by American architects Robert Von Hagge and
Rick Baril
and opened in 1986. It was sold in 2008 and is now private.
Location
Set in the perfect forest seclusion of the Sologne (famous for its hunting grounds), 35 km south of Orléans or 2 hours South of Paris, les Bordes is easily accessible by road from the A10 and A71.
NB: Les Bordes has its own helipad.

Plans for the Future
Plans to build another championship course, designed by
von Hagge, Smelek & Baril (VhS&B)
with Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril (the same team which designed the original course) working on the new course. The new "resort" course, due to open in 2013, will be open to green-fee players. A 5-star hotel & luxury housing will also be built.
