As I parked my car a very welcoming Scottish Secretary came out and asked me if I wanted to play - I don't think he saw many players during the week as the French just use it as a restaurant midweek and it's deserted on the course. Equipped with " hired " everything and the asst pro's shoes I went out and did my best on the red and came in to enjoy the menu du jour lunch. The affable Sec had arranged a game for me in the afternoon on the blue and 2 pm saw me teeing off with two young French brothers hcp 11 and 3 and their sister off 10. The course is magnificent and plays a little like the blue and red courses at Frilford Heath in Oxfordshire where I learnt to play. Fees reasonable and menu exciting as to be expected in La Belle France. A wonderful day out and worth every penny. Best of all was the welcome, so give it a try and you never know......
