About the course

Golf de Dunkerque Grand Littoral has gently undulating wide fairways made intimidating by its ditches and lakes. The layout of the holes is a reminder of the architecture of the famous Vauban.
"Dunkirk Golf is an unusual course which attracts golfers of all levels. The variety of flora and fauna and the panoramic views of the surrounding Flemish countryside are an added bonus for those who like to combine sport and the joys of nature."

Reviews If you're used to the standard of Belle Dune, Le Touquet or Hardelot, Dunkerque is definitely not for you. Although the clubhouse and facilities were of a high standard, the general course condition on the day we visited (July 2005) was tatty and resembled a well worn municipal course in blighty. e.g. Hainault Forest in Essex! Having been used to the other golfing delights of this region as aforementioned, this course is not even close to being in the same class. I can categorically state that I will never play it again!

Despite the review on your details page three of us tried it out in mid September 2005. We were to find the course very pleasant indeed not as tight and demanding as Hardelot but certainly much better than your previous reviewer suggested. The greens were superb despite a downpour just before we arrived.
