Golf du Bois de Ruminghem consists of two totally different parts. Hole 1 to 10 of the golf course is mainly parkland with spectacular views of the coastline between Dunkirk and Calais. Hole 11 to 18 of the course is woodland with lots of ancient oak trees. The trees are punishing bad shots heavily while the adjoining fairways of the parkland part are more forgiving.
The undulating American style greens are difficult to read, and together with the English style bunkers and ponds make Ruminghem a difficult but very interesting course. If you play your handicap here, you can play your handicap anywhere.
