Course Reviews
If you're in the area, well worth a visit. We travelled 50 miles to play and weren't disappointed. English pro and very helpful staff made the experience even more enjoyable. Fabulous views over the lake at the top, but you will be descending to the lakeside for much of the course, so in the main it's quite flat. Fairways a little burnt in summer, but the greens and tees in quality condition. Not over difficult (off 18) but some very tricky greens to catch you out. The par 3's are excellent and, due to the hard fairways and run on the ball, the 5's weren't too difficult.
What goes down has to come up and the climb to the clubhouse after the 18th is a bit of a killer, but there's always a cold drink and some comfortable chairs at the end of it. Also worth a look is their 9 hole course. No pitch and putt this with a 193 mtr par 3 and four good par 4's Not quite the standard of the main course but some great holes to play. Once again, in very good condition despite the dry summer and there's still that hill to climb at the end. Keith Gallier September 4, 2009
